香港童軍總會-港島西區成立於1961年5月1日，是香港童軍總會在港島西設立之前線組織，目的是領導、監督、指引及支持區內童軍旅。
Scout Association of Hong Kong – Hong Kong Island Western District was established in 1st May 1961, which is a frontline formation of the Scout Association of Hong Kong providing leadership, supervision, advice and support for Scout Groups within western Hong Kong Island in the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region.
港島西童軍運動可追溯至1921年。當時有由西營盤官學堂(今英皇書院)主辦的香港第7旅(今港島第5旅)，聖保羅書院主辦的香港第10旅(今港島第10旅)活躍於港島西。
The Scout movement at the Western Hong Kong Island can be traced back to 1921. At that time the 7th Hong Kong Group (now the 5th Hong Kong Group) host by the Saiyingpun School (now the King’s College), and the 10th Hong Kong Group host by the St. Paul’s College were on active services at Western Hong Kong Island.
至1951年，香港童子軍總會設立童軍區監督童軍旅，整個港島及離島屬香港區。及後於1952年，香港區再劃分為港島東部的黃泥涌區，及港島西部及離島的域多利亞區(即維多利亞區)。當時港島西童軍運動已發展至有11個童軍旅。
In 1951, the Boy Scout Association (Hong Kong Branch) set up Scout Districts to supervise the Scout Groups, whole Hong Kong Island and outlying islands belongs to the Hong Kong District. Later in 1952, the Hong Kong District was subdivided as the Wong Nei Chong District for the eastern Hong Kong Island, and the Victoria District for the western Hong Kong Island and outlying islands. At that time the Scout movement of western Hong Kong Island had growth to 11 Scout Groups.
至1961年5月1日，香港童子軍總會再分拆維多利亞區為3個童軍區，分別是港島西區、維多利亞城區、長洲區(今離島區)。港島西區界線為東邊街以西始至香港仔及黃竹坑。至1982年，港島西區進一步發展至33個童軍旅。為作更有效管理，香港童軍總會於1983年1月1日將港島西區南部及筲箕灣區南部劃出組成港島南區，港島西區界線自此改為正街以西始至堅尼地城。
In 1st May 1961, the Boy Scout Association (Hong Kong Branch) subdivided Victoria District into 3 Scout Districts, which are Hong Kong Island Western District, Victoria City District, Cheung Chau District (now the Islands District). The boundary of Hong Kong Island Western District starts form the West of Eastern Street to Aberdeen and Wong Chuk Hang. In 1982, the District has been developed to 33 Scout Groups. For a more sufficient management, the Scout Association of Hong Kong formed the Hong Kong Island Southern District in 1st Jan 1983 which are the Southern part of the Hong Kong Island Western District and the Southern part of the Shau Kei Wan District, the District boundary amended and starts from the West of Centre Street to Kennedy Town.
港島西區現由港島地域管轄，下轄21個童軍旅，分別有9個小童軍團、13個幼童軍團、10個童軍團、8個深資童軍團、2個樂行童軍團。
The District is now under Hong Kong Island Region’s domination, and supervise 21 Scout Groups, which have 9 Grasshopper Scout Rings, 13 Cub Scout Packs, 10 Scout Troops, 8 Venture Scout Units, and 2 Rover Scout Crews.
