SCOUTS RALLY
Prince of Wales Banner Test
One or the largest Scout rallies ever held in the Colony took place at Kowloon on Saturday, when over 260 Scouts from 10 Troops from Hong Kong and Kowloon gathered in the grounds of the St. Andrew’s Church to compete for the Prince of Wales’s Banner.
Scout Master R.Dormer, Acting Commissioner, was in charge, while Mr. S.Mitchell was the Chief Examiner. The Rev. N.V.Halward, the Chief Commissioner of the Boys Scouts’ Association (South) was unable to attend, being indisposed.
The following competitions were held:- Whipping the end of rope; Making a fire and boiling a pint of water; Morse signalling; Kims game and a Troop competition.
The troops competitions saw teams of 12 scouts building a leanto shelter, flag staff and tripod entirely out of staves. At the end each team was compelled to fly a flag from its flag staff.
The final Rally, which will be held on December 1 at Sai Wan, will decide the winner of the banner.
The troops present were:- 1st. Hong Kong Sea Scout; 2nd H.K.; 7th. H.K.; 10th. H.K.; 13th. H.K.; 15th. H.K.; 1st. Kowloon; 5th. Kowloon; 6th. Kowloon and 11th. Kowloon.

童軍比賽
威爾斯太子錦標賽
本地最大型的童軍比賽已於週六在九龍舉行，來自香港九龍10個隊伍超過260名童軍集聚聖安德烈堂，並進行了威爾斯太子錦標賽。
署理總監旅長(Scoutmaster)杜馬(R.Dormer)是當日負責人，米切爾先生(Mr. S.Mitchell)為總評判，至於香港南區總監侯利華牧師(Rev. N.V.Halward)則因病缺席。
比賽項目包括：繩端整理、生火煮沸1品脫的水、摩氏旗號、金氏遊戲、隊際比試。
隊際比試為每隊派出12名童軍，不用木棍下架搭帳幕、旗桿及三腳架，並於旗桿升上旗幟。
而最後一場比試，將於12月1日在柴灣(Sai Wan)舉行，屆時將為比賽定出勝負。
是日出席隊伍包括：香港第1海童軍、香港第2、香港第7、香港第10、香港第13、香港第15、九龍第1、九龍第5、九龍第6、九龍第11。
